Apple CarPlay™ is a feature that transfers the display and control of some of your iPhone’s functions to the vehicle’s center display screen. For a full list of available functions and iPhone model compatibility, visit www.apple.com/ios/carplay.

Before using Apple CarPlay™, ensure that both CarPlay™ and Siri® are activated on your iPhone®. On your device, select:
● SETTINGS,
● GENERAL,
● RESTRICTIONS, then
● Turn off the restrictions or turn on CarPlay™.
● Next, select SETTINGS,
● GENERAL,
● SIRI,
● and turn the Siri feature ON if necessary.

During the connecting process, phone volume adjustment may be briefly unavailable. You may wish to temporarily mute the ringer on your phone.

Next, connect your iPhone® to the port labeled USB1. The Apple CarPlay TM feature requires your iPhone® to be connected to USB 1. Other iPhone® or iPod® features can be used with either USB port.

A message will appear on the display to confirm whether or not you want to use the Apple CarPlay™ feature. Touch YES. If you do not want this prompt to appear every time the iPhone® is connected to USB1:
● Touch SETTINGS on the launch bar,
● Touch APPLE CARPLAY, then
● Set the SHOW STARTUP INFORMATION setting to NO.

After your iPhone is recognized by the USB connection, the vehicle’s center display screen will change to a menu of available iPhone functions. Touch an icon to access that function. Touch THIS icon on the lower left to return to the Apple CarPlay™ main menu.

To return to normal vehicle functions or menus on the center display, press the MENU button or any other button on the control panel. To return to the Apple CarPlay™ screen:
● Touch INFO on the launch bar, then
● Touch APPLE CARPLAY.

From the INFO menu, you can also touch NISSAN HELP FOR APPLE CARPLAY for a list of helpful tips.

To access Siri® Eyes Free while connected to Apple CarPlay™:
● Press and hold the TALK button on the steering wheel, or
● Touch and hold THIS key on the Apple CarPlay™ screen.

Some Siri® Eyes Free functions are not available while driving. For best results when using Siri® Eyes Free, speak clearly and reduce background noise by closing the windows and moonroof, if so equipped. Also, direct the vents so that they are not pointing toward the vehicle microphone.

To exit Siri® Eyes Free operation:
● Press and hold the TALK button on the steering wheel, or
● Touch and hold THIS key on the Apple CarPlay™ screen.
