How Bad Was The Sergeant York?

The DIVAD M247 Sergeant York is one of the internet's favorite AFVs to poke fun at, and for good reason. Meant to provide a modern short range air defense (SHORAD) system for the US military, it was simultaneously outdated and too advanced, built on the chassis of an aging main battle tank and using an aircraft's radar system. The radar system gave it the most trouble by far, but its inability to keep up with the M1 Abrams and M2 Bradley IFV was probably the final nail in the coffin. So we've established it was a bad SPAA, but just how bad was it? I think how useless it was is overstated a bit, but honestly it's not that far off. It's pretty funny that the system it was designed to replace, the M163 VADS, ended up outlasting it.
