Purchasing the wrong pump is a PITA.
I have a single piston and hydraulic line coming from my dump trailer. Purchased online a double acting pump.

The double acting pump means you could power up the trailer and power it down. My single line powers the cylinder up but, comes down by gravity and the weight of the trailer.

Here I have a quick video on how to convert the double acting pump so that it works on my single hydraulic line.

Hopefully it helps some other meathead that gets themself into this situation!
