On Friday, June 28, the 2024 SEC Awards revealed the winners of its honorable awards ceremony. During the event, it was announced that the three K-pop artists—BTS' Jungkook and V, and BLACKPINK's Jennie—bagged trophies for their excellence in 2023-24.
The SEC Awards, also known as the Séries em Cena Awards, is a Brazilian Award show created in 2019. It revolves around the ideology of recognizing and awarding contributions to several aspects of the worldwide entertainment industry, including movies, TV series, music, and internet influencers.
While only three K-pop artists won at the 2024 SEC Awards, several other artists were nominated. BTS' Jimin received three nominations for his works as a soloist, and TWICE was recognized in the category of 2024 National Group.
The 2024 SEC Awards was an online ceremony held on June 28. The winners of the event's several categories were announced through its official Instagram page, and a total of three K-pop artists topped this year's winners list.
