Older Americans Act 101: An Introduction

Описание к видео Older Americans Act 101: An Introduction

The federal Older Americans Act (OAA) funds critical services for older adults and their caregivers in regions across the country. Current legislation expires at the end of September, which means Congress will soon embark on an OAA reauthorization process to ensure funding for critical programs continues.

The National Association of Regional Councils (NARC) has teamed up with the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) to create an introductory webinar on the OAA and its upcoming reauthorization. Featuring a guest speaker from the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a), we will discuss:
• Current OAA legislation, including titles and programs of interest to Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) and regions;
• Recently introduced OAA reauthorization draft language and areas of concern;
• How you can get more involved in the advocacy of OAA reauthorization as the September 30 deadline approaches.

Guest Speaker: Autumn Campbell, Senior Director, Public Policy and Advocacy, n4a
