14/10, 15/10/23. Hallstatt Hotel room.

I wasn’t sure what should I do this morning, spent hours replying WhatsApp...then I looked at the blue sky, at 11am from my window, the Hallstatt lake looked so beautiful. Why I am in the room looking at my phone. I was planned to visit Gosausee tomorrow, immediately flashing thoughts, what if rain tomorrow?
Always question and double check with someone when you travel, someone mights just give a better idea about anything. The i-office told me I can also take 5 minutes bus242, then switch 243 to Gosausee from Hallstatt. I read the info somewhere earlier, I suppose to take a boat crossing the lake then train, then an hour bus243...
The bus ride was smooth and easy. Surprise welcomed more surprises. I wasn’t aware Gosausee was that beautiful! Unlike the very touristic world famous Hallstatt. Gosausee is like drinking a young coconut. So sweet and so fresh. Glad it was not as famous as her big sister Hallstatt. If not, the lake would be full by 10am.
You can do your hiking next to it, or simply casually walk 4-5 km round the late. If you young and wild, you can also go mountain bike at another trail. 70% folks I met today were senior citizens. Don’t say I didn’t tell you, my senior citizen friends, a great place to stay at the Gosau Steinerhof next to it for your vacation. Coffee desserts are all ready by the lake. You can take your evergreen, beloved partner take a stroll by the lake, or simply sit at the bench by the lake, watching the cloud rolled by, listen to the wind from the mountain, let the autumn leaves falling on you...there’s no need to look at your watch.
I noticed most older couples did half of the lake then walked back. That’s good enough...I am surely will visit again and sit at the bench dreaming how to be ‘18 again’ ...xx huck
-now at Innsbruck, my last two days stop before home. I didn’t miss home at all. Lol! Besides my plants and trees.
