Tom Cruise is looking for a new face for the role of Ethan Hunt, according to reports

Tom Cruise has apparently been looking for a new actor to play Ethan Hunt.
For more than 25 years, the Hollywood actor has portrayed the covert government agent Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible films.
According to a source close to the Top Gun star, "Tom is keen to give Mission: Impossible a fresh take in the next two films and wants to explore a bit of Ethan's past."
Insiders also noted that the 62-year-old actor has participated in eight Mission Impossible films, including his next film Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning.
"They're going to start looking for a young star to take on the role and they will appear a bit in the next film and then more in the ninth," an insider told me.
Furthermore, they announced that the ninth and tenth series will follow Hunt's early childhood.
"It is critical to Tom that they hire the appropriate individual. They are looking for a teenager who is absolutely new to the scene and will generate a great sensation."
Before ending, the sources stated, "It's a huge role, but the hunt is on to see if they can find a young Tom Cruise."
Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is set to debut in theaters on May 21, 2025.
