Duk Koo Kim - Tribute (1955-1982)

A real warrior. A genuine fighter. A man who wrote the words "kill or be killed" on his lamp shade the night before his fight with Ray Mancini. I have a deep respect for Duk Koo Kim and his family.

Kim passed away in the hospital 5 days after his 14th round TKO loss to Ray Mancini.

Kim's mother (Yang Seon-Nyeo) would drink pesticide 2 months later. Rest in Peace.

Referee Richard Green would follow suite, committing suicide by self inflicted gunshot 7 months after the fight. Rest in Peace.

My heart goes out to Duk Koo Kim's family and anybody who experienced the intense grief that this incident left behind.
