We demand that Lou's Bodega immediately end any use of Chicano and Indigenous Imagery in their branding, whether on merchandise, packaging, or on their website. This includes their 'woman warrior' tote bags, their t-shirts with 'Bienvenidos' on them, and indigenous patterns on hats, and elsewhere.

We also demand they drop Modelo and Pacifico beers from their selection, and that they drop all Constellation Brands products from all of Bunkhouse Groups and McGuire Moorman Hospitality's hotels and restaurants. These beers are under boycott at the call of Mexicali Resiste in Mexicali, Mexico, who are fighting Constellation Brands from stealing their water #boycottconstellation #mexicaliresiste

Lou's Bodega opened on East Cesar Chavez in place of Gomez Tires (previously Leal's Tires). Not only have the benefited from the displacement of the primarily working-class Chicanos as East Cesar Chavez has been completely devastated by gentrification, they added insult to injury by turning the beloved Chicano murals on Leal's into their 'branding opportunity'.

Liz Lambert, co-owner of Lou’s, has also used teepees, yurts, Hindu deities, Geisha imagery, Mexican Revolutionaries and more to promote her $300 a night luxury campsite, El Cosmico, in Marfa, Texas, where the longtime working-class Chicanos can barely afford to live as well. We will let her know that this type of economic exploitation, with the added mockery of the cultures of oppressed nations, is unacceptable.
