दशकों के लंबे इंतजार के बाद वाल्मिकी समुदाय के लगभग 10,000 वोटर इस बार जम्मू-कश्मीर विधानसभा चुनाव में भाग लेंगे।स्थायी निवास प्रमाणपत्र न होने की वजह से उन्हें चुनावों में वोट देने नहीं दिया जाता था।अनुच्छेद 370 को निरस्त करने के बाद वाल्मिकी समुदाय को कई अधिकार मिल गए हैं। इनमें वोटिंग का अधिकार भी शामिल है।
After a long wait of decades, about 10,000 voters of the Valmiki community will participate in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections this time. Due to lack of permanent residence certificate, they were not allowed to vote in the elections. After the abrogation of Article 370, the Valmiki community Has got many rights.
