Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on September 11 held a meeting with the administrative officers over the construction of roads in the state. During the meeting, he gave strict instructions and said that any criminal or mafia should be kept away from acquiring contracts. He asked them to make random visits to districts and check the quality of work.
"The roads that will be newly constructed will have a guarantee of five years...You (officers) need to review the entire district when you visit it. Make random visits and check the quality of work...Any criminal or mafia should be kept away from acquiring contracts...The contract should also not reach anyone related to him...We need to ensure that every department performs its responsibility...We need to move in the direction of new construction of roads. Most of the roads are damaged because there is an issue of waterlogging," said CM Yogi.
