There are a lot of fancy shifters you can buy for your BMW, some reaching some really insane prices with lots of gadgets and springs to supposedly help you find a gear. In reality we see far more "money-shifts" and shifter issues from these complicated shifters compared to our tried and true solid race shifter. Developed back in the days of racing H-pattern touring cars and needing the most precise shifter possible we have this solid race shifter in every 3-pedal BMW we have built for well over a decade.

The simplistic design of the BW Race Shifter is its greatest asset. In racing, it's the smallest details that end up causing big problems. After trying other race shifters on the market that added complication, we set about designing our own simple but immensely effective shifter. The CNC-machined aluminum base is bolted to your factory transmission tunnel (drilling required). We use a high-quality over-sized monoball bearing for smooth and consistent action, and a solid stainless steel shift lever. Our shifter is designed for the stock selector rod only (not an aftermarket double-shear version). Solid engine and transmission mounts are very strongly recommended (BimmerWorld, Rogue, or similar).
