In this video I test out the Instant Pot Duo Mini, a 3-quart Instant Pot that only pulls 700 watts, and see how well it works for overland cooking.

I run it entirely off my Anker Solix C1000 and make a full pot of chili. After about 45 minutes of cooking, the power station was still sitting at 65 percent, which honestly surprised me in the best way.

There are a lot of all-electric cooking setups out there that are wildly overpriced. This Instant Pot cost me about 85 bucks, and for that price it feels like a killer option for overlanding, camping, and road trips. No fuel cans to carry, no open flame, and way less hassle overall. Solid build quality as well.

If you are looking for a simple, efficient, and affordable way to cook real meals while camping or overlanding, this setup makes a lot of sense. Set it, let it cook, and go do something else while dinner handles itself.

This might be one of the most practical electric cooking options I have tested so far.
