A renowned New Zealand economist stirred up many unhappy Kiwis after he suggests an elimination of the cat population. Gareth Morgan, the economist proposing the idea, says that the friendly house pet poses a threat to the bird species in New Zealand. Morgan has made a website called "Cats to Go.", a portal of information explaining why you shouldn't have a cat and why cats are natural born killers. He also advises that people should fix their cats and after they die owners should not replace them. Although some studies do show a correlation between the large cat population and bird species decrease, many animal lovers and cat owners are outraged by Morgan's idea. So what's your take?
