On 18th September 1993, the Western Locomotive Association ran both of the Westerns under their care on the Severn Valley Railway. This was during the much lamented period of time when the Severn Valley Railway Saturday diesel working started and ended at Bridgnorth and consisted of three return trips.

D1062 "Western Courier" worked the first two returns to Kidderminster and back with ever popular D1013 "Western Ranger" working the last return.
