Yadav said, “It feels good when the country’s leader bats on the front foot,” likening Modi’s gesture to taking strike and inspiring the team. He added, “When sir is standing in front, players will play freely.” The skipper said the entire nation is celebrating the victory and that the team will return home with added motivation. Notably, Suryakumar donated his tournament fees to support the armed forces and victims. Team India also made a bold statement by refusing handshakes with Pakistani players and did not accept the trophy from PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi.
