Items are from the John Lincoln Baxter Collection
Jack Baxter (March 11, 1920 - October 8, 2015) collected these extraordinary items in his travels throughout the world while photographing indigenous people in their everyday lives, 1982 - 2010. His work includes photographs of peoples of Africa, New Guinea, Ecuador, Morocco, China, Thailand, Nepal, Japan, Europe, the Middle East and the nomadic tribes of India. His work was exhibited internationally and in the photography exhibit "Rhythms of Creation: Impressions of Indigenous Peoples of the World" https://bit.ly/RhythmsExhibit.

Other pieces were collected by Connie Baxter Marlow from the Indigenous tribes she has spent extensive time with. Her photography is also available for viewing at https://bit.ly/Rhythms Exhibit
