Shure SM57 Switched Transformer Mod w/ Audio Tests - pt.1

We're cracking open an sm57, boiling the insides out & then adding a switch to take the transformer in and out of circuit. We've got some very unscientific early tests included here so you can hear the difference, but the idea of this project is to send it out to you. Sign up using the request form below to add your name to the list if you'd like to try this mic when it's finished & report back with your tests. A/B it on your favorite snare, guitar or hook us up with your best scream metal vocals. As long as you're willing to share your results & send it on to the next person, you can try what you like.
