This book was a fun one to make on the Investing Book Summaries YouTube channel. Peter Lynch has quite a way with words. He can be humorous and make me chuckle while talking about income statements.

For an example of how funny he can be while maintaining his intelligent opinion of stocks look up, "Peter Lynch lecture on Investments and How the Average Investor can Pick Stocks" on YouTube and skip to 8:55. I've watched this video quite a few times. It's got a few snippets of this book scattered into his speech.

The emphasis of this book is to point out the limitations that many institutional investors have to deal with. Since you as an individual investor do not have to deal with these limitations you can be "one up on Wall Street." So once you know the basics and can pay attention to what's gaining traction and popularity with long-term upside you can become a fantastic investor.
