OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
McKinsey's research has identified four best practices that can help a company achieve operational excellence! The first of those is that a company must identify a focus area that has the best fit with their corporate strategy, and their entire value chain (activities from inputs, through processing and final outputs in a company). Unfortunately, focus can only be achieved by completing a thorough internal analysis of the business, along with having supplier, customer, and regulator discussions. However, this homework can pay off, if the company identifies one significant impact opportunity.

OPERATIONAL AGILITY
Everybody is talking about operational agility! Why are they talking about it, and what does it really mean?

1. Agility: The ability to act appropriately within a changing context.
2. Flexibility: Enables and represents the range of possibilities in agility.
3. Speed: Provides the responsiveness necessary in agility. This refers to the swiftness of a movement or action in both physical and cognitive ways.
4. Coordination: Smoothly integrates multiple parts and processes to create an intended agile action most effectively.
5. Balance: Allows a body to be in the position to take the desired agile action, for as long or as short as desired.
6. Strength: Embodies the physical capability to carry out the intended agile action.
