9. DEBORAH GAVIN
It's easy to think that all prisoners who attempt to escape prison do it because they want freedom, and many do it for that exact reason. But in the case of Deborah Gavin, there was a much purer reason for her escape.

8. MARGARET B. SMITH
Margaret B. Smith was caught and convicted of writing bogus checks in the amount of $200 each in 1974. $200 may not seem like a lot of money now, but it was back then, and forging checks is a serious crime!

6. JUDY LYNN HAYMAN
Judy Lynn Hayman was serving a maximum two year sentence in the Women’s Huron Valley Correctional Facility in Pittsfield Township, Michigan for stealing clothing from a store. About halfway through her sentence, in 1977, the 23-year-old escaped from the prison, and she evaded authorities for decades. In fact, she wasn't caught until 27 years later.

3. SARAH JO PENDER
At her trial, Sarah Jo Pender was called the "Female Charles Manson,” because she apparently had manipulated and masterminded the death of two people. In 2000, Pender attended a concert and met a man named Richard Hull, who was not only a convicted felon, he was also a drug dealer.

2. LYNETTE “SQUEAKY” FROMME
Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme is somewhat of a legend in her own right, as she was one of Charles Manson's most loyal associates as a member of his “Helter Skelter” family.
