Earlier this week, headlines hit for Tesla facing another National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) investigation after fatal alleged “driverless” crash in Spring, Texas. Most EV stocks took a hit.

There has been a SPAC out! Don’t forget that Proterra has not went public yet! After a record of 109 new SPAC deals in March alone, issuance has now come to almost a standstill with just 10 SPACs in April, according to data from SPAC Research. There are a lot of SPACs sitting under $10.

Yesterday the President visited Proterra Electric on a virtual tour, but we did not see an increase in the price until today.
CEO wants to 5x the current operations.
The focus was on the Batteries.
The big win here is Proterra is on the President’s radar. This should give investors more confidence.

April 22 and 23, is Biden’s Climate Summit.
John Kerry has been visiting world leaders.
The summit is the occasion on which the US will unveil its 2030 emissions target as its new National Determined Contribution (NDC) under the 2015 Paris Agreement. Its earlier and only NDC submitted by Barack Obama’s administration pledged to cut emissions by 26–28 per cent below 2005 levels by 2025.

An open letter signed by more than 400 large corporations this month called on Biden to adopt a target of cutting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by at least 50 per cent below 2005 levels by 2030.

Remember that ACTC is a long term play and if you are looking for something that is going to move faster in the EV space you might want to consider NIO.
