MG ZS Hybrid+ 2025 review: Next-gen Chinese small SUV takes HEV fight to Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid

The 2025 MG ZS is looking to take the Chinese small SUV series to the next level in its second generation with the availability of a new Hybrid+ powertrain option, which aims to reduce fuel consumption in a world that continues to face a cost-of-living crisis. That said, the new model is a more upmarket proposition than its predecessor, so you do have to pay extra to take advantage of its upgrades.

Speaking of which, there's more to the ZS Hybrid+ story than just its low-emissions combination of a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a front-mounted electric motor, as it also ushers in MG's new exterior design language, bringing it into line with the related MG3 light hatchback and upcoming HS mid-size SUV. Furthermore, it gets a multimedia overhaul alongside an expanded suite of advanced safety systems.
