Hotel Review - Red Roof Plus Forest Park, St Louis MO

In need of a place to crash for the night after I got chased out of my own house by construction fumes, I decided to check out my local budget hotel. I've always had a fondness for Red Roof properties for some reason. Maybe it's partially nostalgia since we stayed at them a lot when I was growing up, but I find they tend to be a cut above the equivalent Wyndham/Choice properties (ie Days Inn, Econolodge, etc). This one was no exception. Biggest issue was the faint smell of cigarette smoke in the room, which might just be from its location near the breezeway. I saw several guests smoking in this area during my short stay even though there are posted no smoking signs. Even still, it wasn't all that noticeable. The decor and cleanliness were well above par for a hotel in this class, at least in the room. The corridors and elevator could use a little love. Overall, not bad at all for the cheap price tag.
