Mechanical Routing - Flexible Hose

NX Routing for mechanical and electrical systems can help with your design by virtually routing and validating your designs before costly build errors. Why guess how long your flexible hose or bent tubing needs to be? Or worse, wait until the system is built and physically measure for placement only to find that it won't fit causing redesign.

By creating a "flexible" hose in NX Mechanical Routing, Override Position in parent assemblies, and using Define Deformable Parts, you effectively avoid using alternative representations (Alt Reps) in assemblies and Bill of Material (BOM) structures.

The flexible hose can be designed as a straight component and then modified in context at the assembly level. This allows different configurations in different assemblies without affecting the released flexible hose component.
