A serial entrepreneur, Tanveer Patel founded and led CircleSource, Inc until it successfully was acquired by eMids Technologies. She currently helps companies with strategic, growth strategies, organization blue print planning and execution as well as planning her next venture.

Tanveer is passionate about giving back to the community, and is engaged in many activities that directly contribute to the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the state of Alabama in general, and the Birmingham region in particular. A Chairwoman of the Tech-Birmingham for the year 2010. She co-founded Alabama-India TechVenture effort on behalf of the TechBirmingham. In 2011, Mrs. Patel serves on the Executive Committee as well as the Board of Directors for TechBirmingham. She also serves on the Advisory Board of Information Engineering Management Program for the University of Alabama-School of Engineering.

TEDxBirmingham 2011 - "Waking the Giant" - was held on October 8, 2011 at historic Woodrow Hall in Birmingham, Alabama. 10 speakers plus several artistic performers spread their ideas with cross-disciplinary mix of attendees from the Magic City, ranging from civic and business leaders to professionals, educators, technologists, and artists. TEDxBirmingham -- like all TEDx events -- is an independent, volunteer effort. It is not organized for political reasons, monetary reward, or personal gain.
