Upgrading from the Scala Rider G9 to the PackTalk System

Описание к видео Upgrading from the Scala Rider G9 to the PackTalk System

Over the years I have become an avid user of motorcycle communication devices. My wife and I started with the Cardo Multi-set, which allowed us to carry on a conversation while riding. This made our weekend rides and trips much more enjoyable. We used these devices for about three years, until the battery would no longer hold a charge and thus became “scratchy.”
At that point, we were doing most of our riding in groups, and I was either leading the ride or acting as sweep. We needed a way to allow the lead and trailing rider to maintain constant communication, thus making our jobs of managing a group easier. Cardo had just released the new Scala Rider G9, which would allow us to link up to 4 people within an intercom conversation, so we decided to make the upgrade.

We have been using the Scala Rider G9 (including the G9X software update) for an additional three years, and while we are pleased with them overall, they have not been without their challenges.

Right out of the package, the PackTalk looks sleeker and more refined than the G9. Where the G9 has 6 large buttons (three running across the top and three more on the face), the PackTalk has a simplified design with three small buttons and a large wheel or roller, that can be used to adjust the volume or access the various features and settings.
