This $25K BMW Might Be The Best Adventure Bike EVER - 2023 BMW R 1250 GS

This is such a fun bike!
- The GS’s riding position is very upright and comfortable, and the seat is very cushiony. The windscreen is tall and adjustable, and it does an adequate job at blocking the wind. your feet are positioned straight down, and your arms are at chest level. This earns the GS a 10 out of 10 in riding comfort.
- The GS has a large 5.2 Gallon tank and gets about 35 miles per gallon. The #africatwin in its base trim has a 5 Gallon tank very similar to this bike, but #harleydavidson Pan America and the new #ducati #multistrada #v4 have slightly larger tanks 0f 5.6 and 5.8 Gallons respectively. Harley and Ducati also claim a slightly better fuel economy in the mid-40s MPG which would give those 2 bikes a slight edge hover the #bmw and #honda . The TFT screen displays segmented fuel gauge as well as the range left of the tank, and the bike comes with #keylessgo gas cap which overall give the GS a 9 out of 10 in the fuel range/ features.
- The GS comes with a 6.5 inch TFT screen with phone connectivity and a proprietary #navigation system, as well as electronic height adjustment, adaptive headlights, seat and grip heaters, a tall windscreen, lots of bright lighting, smart ABS, cruise control, quick-shifter both up and down, and custom and preprogrammed riding modes so when the weather changes during your commute, you can simply switch the mode and ride comfortably. The #gs is a very well-equipped bike and it earns a solid 10 out of 10 in the commute-specific tech and features.
- On the GS, despite being an #adventure bike, #storage is non-existent. I say that because unless you pay hundreds of dollars to get the storage boxes, the bike does not come with any of that in its stock form, and stock form is what I score. So for all intends and purposes, this bike has no more storage than a typical super-sport bike and therefore it gets a 1 out of 10 in the storage category.
- The GS I reviewed with its packages costs roughly $25,000 dollars, BMW #motorcycle has roughly 147 dealers across the US and there are no outstanding major issues with this model although back in 2019, they had a famous shaft drive cracking issue. This #2023 model does not seem to have any of that. The GS gets a 6 out of 10 in #affordability, #reliability and dealer support.

BMW cannot ever bring themselves to make cheap or low-quality bikes. #german #engineering comes to the rescue once more making a reliable, handsome and purpose driven motorcycle. The adventure category of bikes is a pretty crowded segment, and the competition is strong. BMW would definitely become the top dog of adventure bikes if they can do something about their confusing packages, and their steep price points. Other than that, this is a fantastic adventure bike and if you’ve got the money, you should test ride one!
