Candidate Shravan Pandey, who appeared in the PCS (J) Main Exam-2022, has sparked a significant legal battle after reviewing his answer sheet through an RTI request. Alleging discrepancies in his English answer sheet, including differences in handwriting and torn pages, he filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court, claiming these issues affected his performance.

On June 5, 2024, the High Court directed the UPPSC to produce six question paper answer sheets belonging to the petitioner. Just two days later, on June 7, 2024, the Commission submitted an affidavit stating they are scrutinizing 18,042 answer sheets from all 3,019 candidates who participated in the main examination, ensuring confidentiality during the process.

Moreover, the UPPSC has initiated the display of answer sheets to candidates, starting from June 20. Those who appeared for the PCS-J 2022 main exam will be able to view their copies by July 30, based on their roll numbers.
