My son was gifted this Kadet LT-40 just over five years ago. We finally took it out to the RC field and one of the instructors, Frank, took it upon himself to help us get it in the air. He got it going quickly and the engine was running well on the ground. The take off was uneventful and the flight was going well until the loop and then the sudden engine stoppage.
Frank brought the airplane down with an expert hand.
When we started to look for a reason for the engine stoppage, a fuel leak was discovered and that put the end of trials for that day.
Maintenance work has to be performed before the next time the Kadet LT-40 will go to the field.
