Amplifikation Clarent "Classic Rock" Demo in standard E Tuning.

The rhythm guitar:
Amp:
Amplifikation Clarent "B" Amp - channel 1 dialed to a over-driven and crunchy tone.


All the raw gain is coming from the amp. 1x12 Cab is used with another classic dynamic 421 microphone and the famous condenser 103 used in stereo mode of the Clarent cabinet section.
The microphone selection is capturing more low end of the 1x12 cabinet.


The solo guitar:
Amp:
Amplifikation Clarent "C" Amp - channel 2 is providing all the gain for the solo, without any need of additional pedals

This time the amp is coupled with 4x12 Cab, to have a contrast in the mix, because the track is composed around the opening riff and the whole mix is sculpted around it. The cab is mic'd with two dynamic 57's

Strings Gauges: 9-11-16-24-32-42
Audio Interface: Steinberg UR12 - Hi-Z input
Gain on the UR12 audio interface is set at: 11 O'clock

*Tips:

Adjust yours so that the guitar isn’t overloading your audio interface and avoid the Red clipping LED.
The gain level of your audio interface have to be adjusted independently, when using different guitars with different pickups .
