Amrutha Venkatesh - A Thillana A Day - 30 - Thaya Raga Malika - Dr M.Balamuralikrishna

Описание к видео Amrutha Venkatesh - A Thillana A Day - 30 - Thaya Raga Malika - Dr M.Balamuralikrishna

A brilliant Thillana which playfully teaches us how to do Sruti Bhedam or Graha Bhedam. The concept is to keep the Swara positions of the original Ragam , in this case Kalyani and take a different note of the same Ragam as Sa and sing a Ragam starting from that Sa, but retaining the Swarasthanas(Swara positions) of Kalyani.
Here , the first Ragam is Kalyani which has the scale S R2 G3 M2 P D2 N3 S SNDPMGRS.
The second stanza which starts 'Jhanatajham' has a transition from Kalyani to Shankarabharanam .
Since the response to the first quiz was so amazing , we have a few questions here that you could send in your answers to.This is slightly technical ,but very interesting when we listen with awareness. Please make sure to send in your answers in the comments section.
Please send your answers in a single comment .Thank you.

1. On which note in Kalyani does the Shankarabharanam scale (or Sa )start in the Sruti Bhedam from Kalyani ?
2.What is the Raga in the third Stanza that starts Tattaare?Clue : It starts as Shruti Bhedam from the Ri of Kalyani and reveals itself in the second line .
3.On which notes of Kalyani do the fourth and fifth Shruti Bhedam Ragas start from ?
4.What are the fourth and fifth Ragams?
5.What are the four other Ragams that we get when we take each note of the fourth Ragam in this Thillana as a Sa and create a different Ragam from each corresponding Sa?
Clue : this doesn't occur in this composition .This is just to simplify Sruti Bhedam by trying it in an Audava/Pentatonic Ragam.
6.An easy question :) Who is the composer of this Thillana?

Answers of those viewers who answer all of it or most of it ( more than 50% correct ) , will appear in the comments section.
