तकनीकी विवरण :
एक किलो चावल की कनकी लें।
चांवल कनकी को खौलते पानी में डालकर 1-2 मिनिट में शीघ्र स्प्रिंट से पोछकर स्टील की छन्नी से छान लें।
चांवल कनकी को हल्का गुनगुना होने तक ठंडा करें।
ढक्कनयुक्त प्लास्टिक के बड़े डब्बे लें और कपास को स्प्रिंट से भिगोकर डिब्बों को इससे पोछकर अच्छी तरह निर्जीवीकृत करें।
गुनगुने चांवल की कनकी में 2 ट्राइकोकैप (ट्राइकोडरमा कल्चर) केप्सूल प्रति किलो की दर से इसके पाउडर को अच्छी तरह से मिला दें।
इस मिले हुए चावल कनकी को निर्जीविकृत ढक्कन वाले प्लास्टि के डिब्बों में 1 से.मी. ऊंचाई तक भरकर समतल करें व ढक्कन को बंद करें।
इन भरें हुए डिब्बों को एक साफ सुथरे बंद कमरें में अलग-अलग एक लाईन से लकड़ी या पत्थर की आलमारी में रख दें। कमरे का तापमान 25-30 डिग्री से. हो। तापमान ज्यादा कम होने पर एक साफ बोरे से ढंक दें। तापमान यदि ज्यादा हो तब डिब्बों को गीली रेत पर रख दें।
तीसरे दिन से ट्राइकोडरमा फफूंद उगना शुरू हो जायेगा। पहले सफेद बाद में हरा हो जायेगा। 7-8 दिन पश्चात् ट्राइकोडरमा उपयोग के लिये तैयार हैं।
तैयार ट्राइकोडरमा को डिब्बे से निकालकर, खलबट्टा या मिक्सी की सहायता से बारीक पीस लें तथा 100 ग्राम प्रति किलो सड़ी गोबर की खाद या कंडे की स्वच्छ राख में मिलाकर 1 किलो की थैली में भरकर सील करें व छायादार जगह में मंडारण करें।
10 ग्राम/किलो की दर से बीज को उपचारित करें व 4-6 किलो 40 किलो गोबर की खाद में मिलाकर एक एकड़ खेत में आखिरी जुताई के समय खेत में मिलायें।
ड्रिप के माध्यम से उपयोग करने के लिये तैयार ट्राइकोडर्मा को एक डिब्बा प्रति लीटर पानी में डालकर अच्छी तरह से मसलकर मिलायें व बचे दानों को छानकर अलग करें। 5-6 लीटर प्रति 50 लीटर टैंक में मिलाकर उपयोग करें।

Trichoderma is a very effective biological mean for plant disease management especially soil - borne . It is a free - living fungus which is common in soil and root ecosystems . It is highly interactive with the roots , soil , and foliar environments . It reduces growth , survival , or infections caused by pathogens by different mechanisms like competition , antibiosis , mycoparasitism , hyphal interactions , and enzyme secretion .

1. Disease Control : Trichoderma is a potent biocontrol agent and used extensively for soil - borne diseases . It has been used successfully against pathogenic fungi belonging to various genera , viz . Fusarium , Phytophthora , Sclerotia , etc. 2. Plant Growth Promoter : Trichoderma strains solubilize phosphates and micronutrients . The application of Trichoderma strains with plants increases the number of deep roots , thereby increasing the plant's ability to resist drought . 3. Biochemical Elicitors of Disease : Trichoderma strains are known to induce resistance in plants . Three classes of compounds that are produced by Trichoderma and induce resistance in plants are now known . These compounds induce ethylene production , hypersensitive responses and other defence - related . reactions in plant cultivars . 4. Bioremediation : Trichoderma strains play an important role in the bioremediation of soil that are contaminated with pesticides and herbicides . They have the ability to degrade a wide range of insecticides : organochlorines , organophosphates and carbonates .

Method of application :
1. Seed treatment : Mix 6 - 10 g of Trichoderma powder per Kg of seed before sowing . 2. Nursery treatment : Apply 10 - 25 g of Trichoderma powder per 100 m² of nursery bed . The application of neem cake and FYM before treatment increases the efficacy . 3. Cuttings and seedling root dip : Mix 10g of Trichoderma powder along with 100g of well rotten FYM per liter of water and dip the cuttings and seedlings for 10 minutes before planting . 4. Soil treatment : 5. Apply 5 Kg of Trichoderma powder per hectare after incorporation of sun hemp or dhaincha into the soil for green manuring . Or 6. Mix 1kg of Trichoderma formulation in 100 kg of farmyard manure and cover it for 7 days with polythene . Sprinkle the heap with water intermittently . Turn the mixture in every 3-4 days interval and then broadcast in the field . 7. Plant Treatment : Drench the soil near the stem region with 10g Trichoderma powder mixed in a liter of water .
