Jon Scheyer was named the 20th head coach of the Duke Blue Devils' men's basketball program on June 4th, 2021, taking over for the legendary Mike Krzyzewski after several years as an assistant under the Hall of Famer. But, before his time on the bench of Duke, Scheyer was an outstanding player for the Blue Devils. Scheyer was recruited by Coach K and had a huge impact on the success of the basketball team while in Durham. He was named ACC Tournament MVP, helping lead the team to an ACC title in 2009 and to a Final Four appearance and National Title in 2010. Jon Scheyer left an indelible mark on the Duke program as a player and remains the only player to record at least 2,000 points, 500 rebounds, 400 assists, 250 three-point field goals and 200 steals in a career.
