To change your YouTube handle on the mobile app, open the YouTube app and tap your profile icon in the top right corner. Now tap Your Channel. Tap the Edit icon. Now tap Handle. Erase your current handle, then type in what you’d like your new handle to be. This must be unique to only your channel, so if you enter a handle that’s already been claimed by someone else, you can add numbers or try another spelling. Your handle must be between 3-30 characters long, and can include letters, numbers, underscores, hyphens, and periods. Once you’ve typed a handle you like that is available, tap Save to update your handle. If you change your mind, you’ll have 14 days to come back and switch your handle back to your previous one.

To change your YouTube handle on your computer, open your preferred web browser and go to    / handle  . If needed, log in to your YouTube account. Now click Change Handle. Erase your current handle, then type in what you’d like your new handle to be. This must be unique to only your channel, so if you enter a handle that’s already been claimed by someone else, you can add numbers or try another spelling. Your handle must be between 3-30 characters long, and can include letters, numbers, underscores, hyphens, and periods. Once you’ve typed a handle you like that is available, click Confirm Selection to update your handle. If you change your mind, you’ll have 14 days to come back and switch your handle back to your previous one.
