Rezkova of Czechoslovakia winning and A. Lazareva of Russia second. We see them make one jump each. MS. C. Hoehne of East Germany breaking tape to win 50 km walk. MS. J. Werner of Poland winning men's 400 metres with J. Nallet of France a close second. MS. Finish of women's 400 metres race. C. Besson narrowly loosing to fellow Frenchwoman N. Duclos. Both set new world record. Also included medal presentation. Several shots of the men's high jump, winner V. Gavrilov of Russia. LS. Women's long jump, winner M. Sarna of Poland. More shots of the athletes compete in various disciplines. Various shots during women's 1,500 metres final, which is won by J. Jehlickova of Czechoslovakia. MS. Ian Stewart of Great Britain winning the 5000 metres. MS. Men's javelin final won by J. Lusis of Russia. MS. Women's discus winner, T. Danilova of Russia. MS. A fence of 3,000 metre steeplechase, and then M. Jelev of Bulgaria coming in as winner. MS. Lilian Board just beating C. Besson at the tape at the end of the 4 x 400 metre relay. GV. The men's 100 metre hurdles in which the Italian E. Otto beats Britain's David Hemery into second place. MS. Night time and A. Bondarchuk of Russia setting new world record in the hammer throw. Various shots of the marathon race under way in the country. Various shots of the Greek folk dancing at closing ceremony. Various shots of final stage of marathon and Britain's Ron Hill enters the stadium first and goes on to win the race. Various shots of parade by all contestants for closing ceremony. MS.
