We rode PB (Pumps Bumps and Rollers) to kick off my first time at the 18 Road trail network (Fruita CO). This is a fast flowy trail with some low berms, rollable jumps and. I think this trail is closer to a Green level and makes a nice recover trail between runs of harder or more exciting trails. With a little planning the 18 Road trails can be ridden like a bike park, shuttle style between lots.

Trail Description:
This trail is accessed via another trail called “Prime Cut” which is a Blue (climbing) to get from the turn around lot to the start of PBR. You’ll find yourself flowing through small trees and over the lunar like landscape with the occasional berm, roller, and jump to keep it interesting. At the time of editing Trailforks lists PBR as a “Blue” trail, but to be honest I didn’t feel there was anything that stood out as a “Blue” feature, I have been on other green trails that felt very similar.

I think any green rider could navigate this trail with some patience, and its probable a good way to build confidence.

Special Notes:
While the trails are well marked, the access trail also leads other trails (PBJ & Chutes Ladders) so it is recommended to download a trail app and make sure you are on the correct level trail.

** This is a Desert area; (wear sunscreen) there is no shade and very little to hide under in case of storms. Also, the area is open to roaming cattle (look for poop), as well as wild animals, Poisonous Snakes and Spiders.

Parking / Facilities:
There are a few parking lots and camping areas around these trails with outhouses as well, (some even come with a Black Widow pre-installed). Bring plenty of water and snacks since the area has no shade and no water. We ran shuttle from the lower lot to the upper turn around to save time and energy.
