President Boakai Pays Sympathy Visit to Family of Late LPRC Board Member, Edwin Borbor Zelee

Executive Mansion, Monrovia – His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., President of the Republic of Liberia, on Thursday, January 22, 2026, paid a sympathy visit to the bereaved family of the late Mr. Edwin Borbor Zelee, former Board Member of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC), at their residence in Boys Town, Marshall City.

During the visit, President Boakai, on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, extended heartfelt condolences to the family and paid glowing tribute to the late Mr. Zelee for his dedicated service to the nation. The President recalled Mr. Zelee’s tenure as President of the LPRC Oilers and his contributions to strengthening governance and oversight at the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company.

The President described Mr. Zelee as a committed public servant who served with integrity, professionalism, and a deep sense of national duty, noting that his passing constitutes a profound loss not only to his family but also to the institution and the country.

President Boakai expressed prayers for the peaceful repose of Mr. Zelee’s soul and offered words of comfort and encouragement to the bereaved family, urging them to take solace in the достой legacy of service he leaves behind.
