Built in 1882, the MacCallum House is one of Mendocino’s most iconic Victorian inns. With historic charm, ocean views, and cozy rooms, it’s the kind of stay that makes a Mendocino getaway feel that much more special. I literally did this weekend trip just so I could stay here!

Here’s what to expect👇

🏡 Stay: MacCallum House Inn
29 rooms spread out over the historic house, cottages, and suites. We stayed in their three-story converted water tower with a King + Queen bed, fireplace, sauna, jetted spa tub, and beautiful ocean views
Located in the heart of Mendocino Village, walking distance to shops, cafes, museums, and the Headlands. 
Dog-friendly rooms available. 🐶
Communal outdoor firepit + gardens
Free parking onsite. 
Made-to-order breakfast included. 

🍽️ Dinner at MacCallum House Restaurant: Seasonal, locally-sourced dishes in their historic dining room. Golden hour here is magic. They also make a ton in-house, including their own butter, bread, ice cream, cheese, and more. I highly recommend the pan-seared duck, fried chicken, and the Budino and homemade ice cream for dessert. The Manhattan Noir with cabernet-infused cherries was also a favorite! Everything was phenomenal and so fresh.

☕Breakfast favorites: the Mac Benedict, cornmeal pancakes with blackberry syrup, and their signature blend coffee, served on the wrap-around patio. SO good.  

⭐ Why it’s unique: Where else can you combine Victorian history, farm-to-table dining, cozy fireplaces, and one-of-a-kind suites (like sleeping in a 3-story water tower!) all in one boutique property?
