Genesis is Star Citizen’s next-gen world-building engine — a fusion of data-driven procedural systems and artistic design that promises to breathe life into the universe. Rather than painting biomes by hand, Genesis leverages layered maps of temperature, soil, geology, humidity, sunlight, and more to drive smooth biome transitions — think swamps that evolve into jungles, or redwood groves rising from misty hills.
