Most students in South Africa still attend schools with inadequate sanitation, which ultimately has a negative effect on their education and future. Every year we use World Toilet Day to create awareness of the sanitation crisis and gather support for our plans to rectify the situation. To date we have renovated 26 schools and impacted the lives of over 24 000 students. This year we decided to do things a little differently to help South Africa understand how bad the situation has become.

The challenge:
We challenged some of South Africa’s most influential individuals to use the toilets that many students are forced to use every day.
