Chastleton House - fabulous country house visit vlog

On my travels last week, I saw a sign to Castleton House, so I hung a left and went visiting. It's National Trust so, as I have a membership card, I went in for free.
It's a beautiful jacobean house built in honey-coloured cotswold stone. Jacobean is the period following Queen Elizabeth the 1st starting with James the First of England who was also James the 6th of Scotland. We were very much two different countries back then.
The house is not falling down, but it is is left pretty much as it was when the last owner left in the 1950s so it retains an old-fashioned charm of old England.

I also had a slice of cake and a cup of tea in the churchyard next-door where mums os scouts and guides were raising money for the new scout hut.

Now my traveling to schools has finished for a bit, I can get back to drawing again!
