Video and Photos were shot at Cefn Coed Colliery Museum, Crynant, in the Neath Valley, Neath Port Talbot, South Wales, on the 11/10/2021.


My Drone is a DJI Mini 2 (249 grams / Class 0), flown in the A1 open Category, and Camera is a Canon 700d

This site was when operating, the deepest Anthracite mine in the world, and has been preserved as an outstanding Museum, and venue for many events, such as Craft Fairs, Heritage shows and even the occasional Steampunk weekend.

Also resident at the Museum is the Neath Model Railway Club, who have a highly detailed 00 gauge layout on display, and a collection of railway paraphernalia.

Unfortunately the Museum is currently closed to the public, due to ongoing repair work, part of which has involved the Pit Head Winding Wheel being refurbished and reinstated, and work is ongoing to do the same for the second one, as they are scheduled monuments.

Hopefully the Museum will be able to reopen to the public again soon, and continue as a highly valued resource, not only to the local community, but as an internationally significant site.
