Highway 61 Revisited - A Tribute To Johnny Winter

On his second official studio album "Second Winter", Johnny Winter released a cover of Bob Dylan's "Highway 61 Revisited". His cover with fiery slide guitar soon became one of his signature songs. Even on his last tours, Johnny would bring out his vintage Gibson Firebird and play Highway 61 Revisited as a much celebrated encore. I hope you enjoy my rendition. My version closes out with Jimi Hendrix' "Third Stone from the Sun" riff. You can hear Johnny doing this too as a sort of interlude on some live performances of the song, such as the version released on the Live Bootleg Series Volume 3.
