19 women report 'harmful reactions' to counterfeit Botox in 9 states including WA

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Botox injections are now the most common cosmetic operation with millions of procedures every year.

Now, officials are concerned counterfeit versions of Botox are circulating.

The FDA said at least 19 women between the ages of 25 and 59 have reported "harmful reactions" in nine states including Washington. Nine people were hospitalized.

Investigators said those Botox injections were from unlicensed or untrained people or in places that were not healthcare settings.
