Rubber Soul was hired by DIO with the promise of earning 100 million dollars as a reward for killing Jotaro. His Stand grants him the ability to grow larger and to change appearance at will. He has a rather disturbing personality: he is extremely rude and impolite, showing neither respect nor mercy for people and animals, as they are beings that he only sees as food for his Yellow Temperance. He does not seem to be particularly intelligent and he is easily angered. He wanted to ambush Jotaro with Kakyoin's appearance, but his unusual behavior blew his cover.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is a fighting video game developed by Capcom based on Hirohiko Araki's manga of the same title. The game was developed by the same team who are responsible for the Street Fighter III series. It was originally released in the arcade in 1998 on the CPS-3 arcade system; this version was known outside Japan as JoJo's Venture. An updated version of the game was released in 1999 as JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future. Gameplay follows most basic fighting games but also uses "Stands", powerful projections of a fighter's energy that are unique to each fighter. Generally integrated into a fighter's moveset, most characters possess an active Stand, which they can bring into and out of battle using the 'Stand' button. Whilst a Stand is out, the fighter can increase the power of their attacks, use unique techniques, receive enhancements etc. Some characters do not possess active Stands, or any Stands at all, and instead use other techniques. The original arcade game features fourteen playable characters whilst Heritage for the Future and subsequent ports add eight additional characters, bringing the total to twenty-two. In the English versions, some characters are renamed to avoid copyright infringement in Western territories.

The game follows part 3 of the original manga storyline - Stardust Crusaders. In 1989, Dio Brando (now referred to as "DIO") awakens after his tomb is salvaged from the ocean. Because DIO had managed to capture Jonathan's body, Stands awaken in Jonathan's descendants, consisting of Joseph, his daughter Holly Kujo and grandson Jotaro Kujo. Holly, however, is unable to cope with her own Stand, and has only 50 days to live. Jotaro, Joseph and their new allies set out to defeat DIO before this deadline expires, and encounter DIO's henchmen along the way.
