Thermacut SD55 Plasma Cutter Upgrade | Part 3 - 1st Cut

Today's video is the 3rd of a 3 part series on upgrading my existing plasma cutter, to the new Thermacut SD55 unit.
In part 1, you saw me unboxing the plasma cutter and showing you all the parts that came with it.
In part 2, I installed the new machine torch, fabricated trays for the drag chain that secures the machine torch cable and connecting the CNC cable between the unit and the plasma cutting software....the MyPlasm CNC controller and plasma interface unit.

In this video I'll be making some test cuts to dial in the new plasma cutter, referencing the cut charts that come with the machine torch.
These cut charts are a guide for setting the correct amps, cutting speed and arc voltage for the torch height control, to provide the best quality cuts for the various thicknesses of material being cut....mild steel, stainless steel or aluminium.
