In Australia the 3G Network has been disabled as if November 2024. Telstra, Vodafone, Optus etc are all doing this. As a result lots of HUAWEI phones (as well as Samsung, Oppo, Xiaomi and many other brands) are now not working because although they are 4G compatible, the software won't allow the phone to CALL or SMS using 4G (VoLTE). There is SO MANY TUTORIALS on how to upgrade software but they ALL MISS OUT THIS ONE IMPORTANT STEP, which causes the software upgrade to fail at 99% or say 'UPDATE FAILED', or 'there are no new updates'. My video hopes to show you the full process, start to finish (on this Huawei mate 20 pro) so that you don't need to buy a new phone to use Telstra / Optus / Vodafone networks. The guide will work with many different HUAWEI 4G compatible phones. Follow the guide closely, and make sure the phone stays plugged in during update otherwise you will brick your phone.
