Ships That Could Have Made Canon BETTER?

Are there any ships that you think could have objectively improved their source material if they were made canon? Were they heavily hinted at, but never followed through on? Would they have been the more satisfying conclusion to a character arc? Would it have made more sense than the ship that did become canon?
