In the latest move, some lawyers and ex-cops united together to file a petition in the Bombay High Court claiming “vilification of police”.
If the media hadn’t step in the case, drug angle would have still been buried, Mumbai Polices’ February inaction would’ve gone unnoticed, India wouldn’t have known about SSR’s diary, Sushant’s financial transactional would still remain suppressed, Rhea Chakraborty’s breakup chats with Mahesh Bhatt wouldn’t come to light and most importantly India wouldn’t have known the truth.

While, Digital Journalist, Priyanka Deo says, ‘This shows that the investigation by Mumbai Police has loopholes’. Lawyer, Vikas Gupta states, ‘You cannot bash Rhea Chakraborty’ and Political Analyst Tehseen Poonawalla says, ‘I stand by Mumbai Police, they shouldn't be targeted’.
